Hi Beth, I’ve been reading some of your recipes and can’t wait to try them; especially this Grapefruit Thyme Turmeric Sparkler. I have bottle of turmeric I purchased last year after I was given a cough recipe by a bank guard one day while standing in line at the bank. He is originally from India, and seeing and hearing how miserable I was from coughing with the flu, he handed me a card where he had written down the recipe. I tried it, and it really worked. Now I have two recipes with turmeric; one for the summer and one for the winter. LOL… The recipe is: one cup of milk, 1/2 Tbls turmeric, mix and heat to just before boiling, add 2 Tbls honey, let stand for about a minute, drink. It really does soothe a sore throat. Safe for children to drink as well. I have really enjoyed reading your blog…

I’m easy to please—I’ll take anything with Vodka, duh! I really do love Lemon Drops and Cosmos—my sweet husband introduced me to them when he met me in a bar and found me ordering whiskey and coke because I didn’t know how to order anything else. What would I do without him? I also like dessert cocktails—sweet and creamy! Your grapefruit cocktail looks perfect for summer—we’ll definitely try it!
