Loved your gardening videos. Jugs are a great idea in your climate. Celery and asparagus would go in your set-up, I think - carrots and beets, too. Sweet potato vines are beautiful- I grow them in pots. If I lived where it snows, I would be trying to get baby greens to grow inside during the cold weather. I'm so glad I found your very witty and helpful post. All the best to you and yours.

Hi Beth! My favorite blogger ever… I sure miss your posts but I realize you probably have many creative outlets and the blog may not be your favorite. I’m thinking of you because I am planning to go see “Dear Evan Hansen” tomorrow. I wouldn’t have known of this ( really, I live under a rock mostly) if you hadn’t posted something in your blog. The song “Waving Through A Window” on one of your posts has been a powerful identifier for me- I’m in an abusive marriage and I finally have risked all to leave for good. Thanks for giving me a tool to get to the next wrung of my set of monkey bars. Sometimes people ( like you) help in ways they can’t imagine by just being their wonderful selves. You are a woman of so much talent and goodness that I only know through your writing and recipes. I can only imagine how grateful the people who actually spend time with you are to be your family and friends. Anyway, I hope you and your family are well and prospering.

Scarlet Runner beans would work great on your trellis with the squash and they won’t cross pollinate and make your squash taste weird. They have beautiful bright pink to red flowers and produce green pods with pink specked black beans (meant to be dried and cooked accordingly).

Oh how cool ???? My fan moved into a new to us place late December last year and we have small front side & back yards that get part sun. Central Florida though, so our sun tends to be really strong.
"How do I deter the squirrels?" is my biggest problem. You have any thoughts?
Love your vertical garden.
Good to see you- ????

Great post, I knew I was saving all those plastic jugs for something! The colors on the purple bok choy seedlings are mesmerizing. I always love a few Summer garden photos in Winter. I don't know why but I always feel surprised at how much change the seasons bring.
