Less of Beth – Week 5

Another week, another update…

I’ve got the update for you here in this week’s video!

The Too Long Don’t Watch Summary

Well, I’m still at it! There are definitely days/moments where I can feel myself slipping into my old habits, and it’s uncomfortable to face that sometimes. But then I look at myself in the mirror during Barre3 and see that I’m stronger and smaller, or feel my clothes be looser on my body when I get dressed, and I realize that I’m doing something good for myself and I need to keep going.

This week I had some physical challenges, and we are still working through the crud that is fall with kids in school, (Germ City!), but overall things are going well. 

On the food front, things are going ok. I haven’t been as diligent about tracking what I eat, and I’m still not sure how I feel about doing it in general. It’s a pain in the butt, especially when it comes to estimating ingredients or portions if I’m not following a specific recipe or am eating out. The jury is still out. I didn’t track this sweet potato peanut sauce, for example, but that didn’t stop it from being delicious. ๐Ÿ™‚

The things I do for my daughter. ๐Ÿ™‚ This is Vida and I at a Mommy and Me Barre3 class, dressed as fitness loving unicorns. I especially respected the mom in the kangaroo costume.

It still makes me do a double take to see that I haven’t missed a day of hitting my move and exercise goal on my Apple Watch. Feelin’ gooooooood about that.

Less of Beth – Week 5 Results

Starting weight: 250.6 lbs
Previous weight: 240.4 lbs
Current weight: 240.2 lbs
Weight lost this week: 0.2 lbs
Goal weight by 40th birthday on March 18, 2019: 199.6 lbs (basically, just want to get under 200 pounds by that day)
Final goal weight: 150 lbs (aiming to hit this by October 1, 2019)

So, this week I lost 0.2 pounds, barely enough to even count it. But I’m still counting it! I seem to go in a pattern of lose big one week, not so much next week, repeat. I’m cool with that because I’m still averaging 2 pounds down a week, which was my goal from the start. Keepin’ on keepin’ on, that’s all I can do.

Oh, and I decided I’m crazy for posting these updates on Monday, so I’m switching to Wednesday. Even that has been challenging up to now, but once again, we press on and don’t let the past dictate our future. Let’s do this!
